In 2026 a template business website in Pakistan usually costs Rs 20,000 to Rs 80,000, a custom-designed business site Rs 80,000 to Rs 250,000, and an online store Rs 80,000 to Rs 600,000. On top of the build you pay roughly Rs 8,000 to Rs 25,000 a year for hosting and a domain. Our own prices start at Rs 40,500.

Key Takeaways
- Most of the price difference comes from scope: number of pages, custom design versus a theme, and features such as payments or bookings.
- Budget for yearly costs as well as the build: a .pk domain is Rs 2,100 a year at the registry, and shared hosting is typically Rs 5,500 to Rs 15,000 a year.
- A cheap quote is not automatically a bad one, but ask exactly what it includes: content, revisions, mobile testing, SEO basics and who owns the domain.
- Pay in milestones, not 100% upfront, and get the scope and price in writing before any deposit.
- Our published prices: starter site Rs 40,500, business site Rs 85,500, online store Rs 157,500, web apps from Rs 360,000.
How Much Does a Website Cost in Pakistan in 2026?
There is no official price for a website in Pakistan. What exists is a fairly stable market range, visible in the price guides and packages that Pakistani agencies publish. We compared the published figures of several agencies in October 2026 and they cluster into the bands below.
| Type of website | Typical market price (PKR) | What you usually get | Typical timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Template / starter site (3–5 pages) | Rs 20,000 – 80,000 | A purchased theme customised with your logo, text and photos; contact form | 1–2 weeks |
| Custom-designed business site (5–20 pages) | Rs 80,000 – 250,000 | Original design, content management, on-page SEO structure, analytics | 3–8 weeks |
| Online store | Rs 80,000 – 600,000 | Product catalogue, cart and checkout, payments, order management, courier flow | 3–14 weeks |
| Custom web application | Rs 150,000 – 2,000,000+ | Portals, booking systems, dashboards, user roles and integrations | 2–9 months |
The wide ranges are not a sign that the market is random. They reflect genuinely different products sold under the same word, "website". A three-page site built on a ready-made theme and a twenty-page site with original design, written content and integrations take very different amounts of skilled time, and that time is what you pay for.
What We Charge, and Why We Publish It
We publish fixed starting prices so you can judge whether we are in your budget before you spend time on a call. Every figure below is the same one on our pricing page.
| Package | Our price | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Landing page | Rs 22,500 | One long page for a campaign or single service |
| Starter website | Rs 40,500 | Up to 5 pages, mobile-first, contact form, Google Maps, basic on-page SEO |
| Business website | Rs 85,500 | Up to 10 pages, custom design, content management, WhatsApp and click-to-call, Google Business Profile setup, schema markup |
| E-commerce store | Rs 157,500 | Up to 100 products, cash on delivery, wallet or bank gateway, courier booking flow, order management |
| Web application | from Rs 360,000 | Scoped individually |
| Maintenance | from Rs 7,200 / month | Updates, backups, security patches, small content changes |
Our prices sit in the middle of the market rather than at the bottom. The difference is what is included and how you pay. We take a deposit and then milestone payments, not 100% upfront, and the domain and hosting are registered in your name so you are never locked in.
What Actually Changes the Price of a Website?
When two quotes for "a website" differ by Rs 100,000, the gap almost always comes from one of the factors below. Read your quotes against this list.
1. Number and type of pages
A page is not a fixed unit. A simple "About us" page takes far less work than a services page with pricing tables, or a product category page that has to pull data from a catalogue. Ask for the exact list of pages, not just a count.
2. Theme or original design
A purchased theme gives you a professional look quickly and cheaply, but your site will resemble others built on the same theme. Original design costs more because a designer plans layouts around your brand and content. Neither is wrong. A clinic that needs to be online next week is well served by a good theme, while a brand selling to foreign buyers usually benefits from original design.
3. Content: who writes it and who supplies the photos
Content is the most underestimated cost. If you supply finished text and good photos, the build is faster. If the developer has to write copy, translate it into Urdu, or arrange photography, expect the price to rise. One Pakistani agency's 2026 guide puts copywriting and photo sourcing alone at Rs 50,000 to Rs 200,000 for larger sites.
4. Features and integrations
Every feature that talks to another system adds work. Common ones in Pakistan include online payments through wallets or bank gateways, courier booking, appointment booking, WhatsApp ordering, multi-language switching and a members' area. Each needs setting up, testing and documenting.
5. Platform
WordPress, Shopify and custom code each have different build and running costs. WordPress has no licence fee but often needs paid plugins; Shopify charges a monthly subscription in US dollars; custom code costs more to build but has no platform fee. Our guide to WordPress website prices and our Shopify price guide break this down.
6. Timeline
A compressed deadline means a developer has to move other work, so rush jobs usually cost more. Two to three weeks is a reasonable timeline for a business site when content is ready.
What Will You Pay Every Year After Launch?
The build is a one-time cost, but a website also has running costs. These are the items most often left out of a quote.
| Running cost | Typical amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| .pk domain | Rs 2,100 a year at the registry | PKNIC raised its fee from Rs 1,800 on 1 August 2026 and bills in two-year blocks. Resellers charge more for convenience. |
| .com domain | about Rs 3,000 – 5,000 a year | Price depends on the registrar and the exchange rate. |
| Shared hosting | about Rs 5,500 – 15,000 a year | Enough for most business sites. Larger stores may need VPS or cloud hosting. |
| SSL certificate | usually free | Most hosts include a free certificate. |
| Maintenance | about Rs 5,000 – 15,000 a month | Optional but sensible for stores and sites that change often. Our plans start at Rs 7,200 a month. |
| Platform fees (Shopify) | from $29 a month (billed yearly) | Billed in US dollars; see our Shopify guide. |
A good rule of thumb from industry guides is to budget 15–25% of the build cost each year for upkeep. For a simple brochure site it can be much less; for an active store it can be more.
Do Website Prices Differ Between Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad?
Somewhat. Agencies in Islamabad and the larger Karachi and Lahore firms tend to quote higher because of office costs and their typical clients, while smaller cities often have lower quotes. In practice, the agency's size and the scope of your project matter far more than its city, and most website work is now done remotely anyway. Judge a quote by what it includes, not where the office is.
Is a Rs 15,000 Website a Bad Idea?
Not always. A one-page site on a template, for a shop that just needs to appear on Google with a phone number and map, can be done cheaply and serve its purpose. The risk is in what very low prices quietly leave out:
- The domain registered in the developer's name instead of yours, so you cannot move it later.
- No real mobile testing, even though most of your visitors use a phone.
- Nulled (pirated) themes or plugins, which can carry malware and never receive security updates.
- No backups, so one mistake or hack can wipe the site.
- No basic SEO set-up, so the site exists but Google rarely shows it.
If a quote is far below the ranges above, ask the questions in the next section before paying anything. Our guide on why website quotes vary so much walks through two real-world style quotes line by line.
How to Compare Website Quotes Fairly
Put every quote you receive into a simple table with these rows. Any row a developer cannot answer clearly is a warning sign.
- Exact page list and who writes the content.
- Design approach: theme (which one?) or original design, and how many revision rounds.
- Features included, especially payments, bookings and integrations.
- Ownership: are the domain, hosting and site files in your name?
- Payment schedule: deposit and milestones, or 100% upfront?
- Timeline with dates for each milestone.
- After launch: what support is free, for how long, and what maintenance costs.
- Yearly costs you will pay to others (domain, hosting, platform fees).
Worked Example: Two Common Budgets
A clinic in Lahore
A family clinic wants seven pages (home, about the doctors, services, timings and location, two treatment pages and contact), online appointment requests by WhatsApp, and a Google Business Profile set up properly. With the clinic supplying text and photos, this fits our business website package at Rs 85,500. Yearly running costs would be about Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 for a .pk or .com domain and shared hosting.
A clothing boutique selling across Pakistan
A boutique with 60 products wants cash on delivery, wallet payments, courier booking and size charts. This fits our e-commerce package at Rs 157,500. If it chooses Shopify instead of a self-hosted store, it should add the Shopify subscription (from $29 a month billed yearly) and transaction fees for third-party gateways.
Website Prices for Clients Outside Pakistan
We quote and invoice in Pakistani rupees for every client. For businesses in the UK, the Gulf or North America this is usually a fraction of a local agency quote for comparable scope. UK agency guides, for example, put a typical small business site at £3,000 to £6,000 in 2026. Our guides to website costs in the UK and in Dubai compare the options honestly, including what you give up by hiring remotely.

How We Researched This Guide
We collected the published 2026 price guides and package pages of six Pakistani web agencies on 28 October 2026, noted every PKR figure, and grouped them into the bands in the first table, rounding to the nearest common boundary. Running costs come from the PKNIC registry, hosting listings and platform pricing pages, each linked below. Our own prices are taken from our published price list, and the worked examples reflect typical projects we quote for.
