There is no direct Stripe Pakistan alternative that does everything Stripe does, because Stripe does not list Pakistan as a supported country on 29 October 2026. For local customers, use Pakistani gateways, wallets and Raast. For overseas buyers, use bank transfers, invoicing services such as Payoneer, or a genuinely registered company in a Stripe-supported country.

Key Takeaways
- Stripe's global availability page does not list Pakistan, so a Pakistan-registered business cannot open a Stripe account.
- PayPal does not offer Pakistan-based accounts for receiving business payments; check its Pakistan page for any change.
- For local customers, Pakistani gateways, wallets, Raast and cash on delivery cover nearly every need.
- For overseas buyers, invoices paid by bank transfer or through Payoneer are legal and practical routes.
- Never run payments through a friend's or relative's foreign account; funds can be frozen and terms are broken.
Why Do You Need a Stripe Pakistan Alternative?
Stripe is a payment company that lets websites accept cards and other payments worldwide. It only works for businesses based in the countries it supports. Its global availability page, checked on 29 October 2026, does not list Pakistan, though it lists the United Arab Emirates and several other Asian countries. A business registered in Pakistan therefore cannot open its own Stripe account.
PayPal is in a similar position. Pakistani residents cannot open a PayPal account to receive payments for goods and services, as has been widely reported. Check PayPal's Pakistan page for any change before planning around it. Shopify Payments is also unavailable in Pakistan.
The good news is that legal alternatives cover almost every real need. Which one fits depends on where your customers are.
What Are the Legal Options?
| Your customers | Legal option | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| In Pakistan | Local gateways, wallets, Raast and COD | Checkout through JazzCash, Easypaisa, PayFast, bank gateways or Raast |
| Abroad, paying invoices | Bank transfer to your Pakistani account | You send an invoice with bank details; the client wires the money |
| Abroad, paying invoices by card or local transfer | Invoicing services such as Payoneer | Payoneer says it collects payments across 190+ countries and territories |
| Abroad, buying from a store | Local gateways that accept foreign-issued cards, if available | Ask your gateway whether it accepts cards issued outside Pakistan |
| Abroad, at scale | A genuinely registered company in a Stripe-supported country | That company opens Stripe with its own bank account there |
What Works for Customers Inside Pakistan?
For a store selling in Pakistan, you do not need Stripe. Customers here pay with cash on delivery, JazzCash, Easypaisa, debit cards and bank transfers, and increasingly with Raast. A local gateway covers most of these in one integration. Compare them in our payment gateway comparison for Pakistan, and see our Raast and bank transfer guide for low-cost bank payments.
How Can You Receive Payments From Overseas Customers?
This depends on whether you sell services or products.
Services and B2B orders
Exporters, agencies and consultants usually invoice. The client pays by international bank transfer to your business bank account in Pakistan, or through an invoicing service such as Payoneer. Overseas senders can also use transfer services such as Wise, where available in their country, to pay into a Pakistani bank account. For larger orders, milestone invoices reduce risk on both sides.
Products sold through a store
Selling physical products to shoppers abroad from a Pakistani store is harder, because card checkouts for foreign shoppers need a gateway that accepts international cards. Ask your Pakistani gateway what it supports. Many exporters instead take orders through an enquiry form or WhatsApp and send an invoice. Our exporter website guide explains that model.
What About Selling Through an Overseas Company?
Some businesses set up a genuinely registered company in a country Stripe supports, such as the UK, the US or the UAE, with a bank account there. That company can then open its own Stripe account and sell to customers worldwide. This is legal when the company is real, its details are accurate and it meets that country's rules.
It is not a shortcut. The company has running costs and obligations in that country, and the arrangement must be set up properly. Talk to your accountant or adviser in both countries before you start. Do not use a form-filling service that offers a foreign Stripe account without a real company behind it.
What Should You Never Do?
- Use a friend's or relative's foreign Stripe or PayPal account. It breaks the provider's terms, and funds can be frozen or the account closed without warning.
- Give false addresses or documents to open an account.
- Rely on a "Stripe for Pakistan" reseller you cannot verify; ask who holds the money and under which licence.
- Ignore chargebacks. International card payments can be reversed by the buyer's bank, so keep proof of delivery.

How We Researched This Guide
Stripe availability comes from Stripe's global page and Payoneer's description from its homepage, both checked 29 October 2026. PayPal's machine-readable country list could not be checked, so the PayPal point relies on wide reporting and tells readers to confirm. Store prices are our own. Both business examples are illustrative.
