The business email price in Pakistan is mostly a per-user monthly or yearly fee: Google Workspace and Zoho Mail charge for each mailbox, listed on their official pricing pages, while hosting mailboxes often come with web hosting. Budget by counting real users; a team of 5 often needs 5 paid users plus free aliases such as info@ and sales@.

Key Takeaways
- Google Workspace and Zoho Mail charge per user; check their official pricing pages for the current rate in your currency.
- An alias or group address such as info@ usually costs nothing extra on top of a paid user.
- Mailboxes included with hosting are cheap but weaker on spam filtering, storage and reliability.
- Yearly plans usually cost less per month than monthly plans, but lock you in for the year.
- Set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC records whatever provider you choose, or emails land in spam.
What Sets the Business Email Price in Pakistan?
Professional email on your own domain, such as ahmed@yourbusiness.pk, is priced in one of three ways. Cloud providers such as Google Workspace and Zoho Mail charge a fee for each user, every month or year. Hosting companies often include a number of mailboxes in a hosting plan. A few providers sell storage pools shared by everyone. The business email price in Pakistan you end up paying depends far more on how many real users you count than on which provider you choose.
Comparing the Main Options
| Option | How it is charged | Strengths | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Workspace | Per user, monthly or yearly | Gmail interface, Drive, Meet, strong spam filtering | Cost grows with each user |
| Zoho Mail / Workplace | Per user, with lower-cost mail-only plans | Good value, business features | Some features only on higher plans |
| Microsoft 365 | Per user | Outlook, Office apps, Teams | Bundles you may not need |
| Hosting mailboxes | Included in hosting, or a small add-on | Lowest cost | Weaker spam control, storage limits, tied to your host |
Prices change and vary by country and currency, so we do not quote them here. Each provider's official pricing page shows the current rate for Pakistan, and many now display it in rupees.
How Many Mailboxes Do You Really Need?
You need a paid user for each person who sends and receives email under their own name. Shared addresses such as info@, sales@, accounts@ and support@ can usually be aliases or groups that deliver to one or more existing users at no extra cost. A five-person business that thinks it needs ten mailboxes often needs five users and five aliases. Removing users who have left the company also saves money every month.
Monthly or Yearly Billing?
Yearly plans usually work out cheaper per month, but you commit for the year, including users you might remove. Monthly billing suits businesses whose team size changes. Payments are commonly made by card, sometimes in US dollars, so the rupee cost can move with the exchange rate. Check whether your card supports international or recurring payments before signing up.
Is Hosting Email Good Enough?
For a very small business with one or two addresses and modest volume, hosting mailboxes can work. Problems appear as the business grows: limited storage, weaker spam filtering, slower webmail and, most importantly, email going down whenever the website hosting has a problem. Keeping email separate from web hosting is safer. Our guide to setting up business email on your own domain explains the options.
Do Not Skip the DNS Records
Whichever provider you choose, add SPF, DKIM and DMARC records to your domain. Without them, your emails are much more likely to land in customers' spam folders. Our guide on fixing emails that go to spam walks through these records.
A Simple Way to Budget for a Year
Write down every person who will send email under their own name, then every shared address the business uses. Multiply the number of real users by the provider's per-user price for the plan you need, and by twelve if you are comparing monthly prices. Add the shared addresses as aliases at no extra cost. Then add a small margin for one or two new staff during the year, and for the effect of exchange rate changes if the plan is billed in dollars. Compare this yearly figure across two providers using their official pricing pages on the same day. Most small businesses find the difference between providers is smaller than the saving from counting users carefully. Review the user list every quarter and remove accounts for anyone who has left, after moving their important emails to a manager.
Moving From an Old Email Provider
When you switch providers, plan the move for a quiet day and keep the old service running until the new one works. Export old mailboxes or use the new provider's migration tool, then change the MX records that tell the internet where to deliver mail. Some emails may still reach the old provider for a few hours while DNS updates spread, so check both inboxes for a day. Tell staff to update the email settings on their phones and laptops once the change is complete.
What Does Setting It Up Cost?
The provider's fee covers the service itself. Setting up the domain records, creating users and aliases, and moving old emails across is a one-time job. For clients on our maintenance plan from Rs 7,200 a month, routine email changes such as adding users or aliases are included. See our published prices.
